About Thyroid Cancer - The Effect of Dental X-Rays and Mammograms

The following note is from a very concerned visitor:

Recently Dr. Oz had a show on the fastest growing cancer in women, thyroid cancer. It was a very interesting program and he mentioned that the increase could possibly be related to the use of dental x-rays and mammograms.

He demonstrated that on the apron the dentist puts on
you for your dental x-rays there is a little flap that can be lifted up and wrapped around your neck.
Many dentists don't bother to use it.

Also, there is something called a "thyroid guard"
for use during mammogram

By coincidence, I had my yearly mammogram yesterday. I felt a little silly, but I asked about the guard and sure enough, the technician had one in a drawer. I asked why it wasn't routinely used. Answer: "I don't know. You have to ask for it." Well, if I hadn't seen the show, how would I have known to ask?

I hope other visitors would pass this on to your friends and family.

Radiation detected in Massachusetts rainwater as Fukushima crisis worsens

The Fukushima crisis continues to worsen by the day, with nuclear experts around the world finally realizing and admitting we've all been lied to. "I think maybe the situation is much more serious than we were led to believe," said Najmedin Meshkati of the University of Southern California, in a Reuters report (http://www.reuters.com/article/2011...). That same article revealed that recent radiation readings at Fukushima show "contamination 100,000 times normal in water at reactor No. 2 and 1,850 times normal in the nearby sea."

Massachusetts rainwater has also been found to be contaminated with low levels of radiation from Fukushima, indicating just how widespread the radioactive fallout has become. It's not just the West Coast of North America that's vulnerable, in other words: even the East Coast could receive dangerous levels of fallout if Fukushima suffers a larger release of radioactive material into the air.

Rolling blackouts are now continuing throughout Japan due to the drop in power production from Fukushima diminishing Japan's electricity generating capacity (http://english.kyodonews.jp/news/20...). The only reason Japan isn't experiencing widespread power blackouts right now is because so many factories were damaged or swept away from the tsunami itself. Once a serious rebuilding effort gets underway, Japan is going to find itself critically short of electrical power.

The radiation leaking from Reactor No. 2 is now measured at 1,000 millisieverts an hour -- more than enough to cause someone's hair to fall out from a single exposure event. Radiation sickness can begin at just 100 millisieverts. The extremely high levels of radiation are, in fact, making it nearly impossible for workers to continue working at the reactor. "You'd have a lot of difficulty putting anyone in there," said Richard Wakeford, a radiation epidemiology expert at the Dalton Nuclear Institute in Manchester. "They're finding quite high levels of radiation fields, which is impeding their progress dealing with the situation." (http://www.businessweek.com/news/20...)

Why Physical Activity And Exercise Are Important

The Relationship Between Physical Activity And Exercise

The terms physical activity and exercise may seem synonymous, but there are critical differences between the two.

* Physical activity encompasses any movement of the body in which your muscles contract and your metabolism increases. Everything from washing dishes to playing ice hockey falls under this umbrella.

* Exercise is a subcategory of physical activity. It refers specifically to a structured program of activity geared toward achieving or maintaining physical fitness.

Levels of physical activity can be viewed on a continuum. At one end of the spectrum is a sedentary lifestyle, an absence of any significant physical activity. On the other end is the peak level of exercise training exhibited by a well-conditioned athlete. How you move along this continuum depends on both your starting point and your exercise goals. If you are currently sedentary, simply upping the amount of physical activity in your daily life is an important push forward.

At a certain point, however, you will need to establish an exercise program to continue making strides. And once you have a program in place, you should periodically review your fitness level and reexamine your personal goals to determine how you can continue to make progress.

How Your Body Responds To Physical Activity And Exercise

When you call on your body to perform any type of physical work — even something as simple as walking across the room — your cells are jolted out of their resting state of balance. What follows is a complicated set of physical processes that supply the cells with the extra energy they need.

First and foremost, the cells require additional oxygen to fuel the metabolic functions necessary for sustained activity. To meet this demand, the respiratory and circulatory systems gear up to deliver oxygen-rich blood to the working muscles. This accelerated metabolism, in turn, produces greater amounts of waste products. These products are transported back to waste-removal sites, such as the lungs and kidneys, for expulsion from the body.

It is because of these processes that you breathe more rapidly and your heart pumps more vigorously when you exert yourself. Another byproduct of increased energy production is heat. Sweating — a telltale sign of strenuous exertion — is your body's way of cooling your skin and keeping your body temperature at a safe level.

The Benefits Of Physical Activity And Exercise

Physical activity (and exercise) is a cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle. Not only does physical activity make you look and feel better, but it is also critical for improving your health and extending your life. Being active significantly lowers your chances of developing potentially fatal illnesses, including heart disease, diabetes and cancer. In addition, remaining active throughout your life can help you stay healthy and disability-free as you age.

Here's a rundown on the benefits you can expect from regular activity:

* Lower risk of early death
* Lower risk of heart disease
* Lower risk of high blood pressure (If your blood pressure is already elevated, you can expect it to drop.)
* Better weight control
* Lower risk of diabetes
* Lower risk of colon cancer
* Increased bone strength
* Improved balance
* Lower risk of depression and anxiety
* Increased energy level
* Overall sense of well-being

How Can Potassium Iodide Help Us To Counter the Effect of Radioactive Particles?

What does potassium iodide (KI) do?
The effectiveness of KI as a specific blocker of thyroid radioiodine uptake is well established. When administered in the recommended dose, KI is effective in reducing the risk of thyroid cancer in individuals or populations at risk for inhalation or ingestion of radio iodines.  KI floods the thyroid with non-radioactive iodine and prevents the uptake of the radioactive molecules, which are subsequently excreted in the urine.

Can potassium iodide (KI) be used to protect against radiation from bombs other than Radioactive  iodine?
Potassium iodide (KI) works only to prevent the thyroid from uptaking radioactive iodine. It is not a general radioprotective agent.

Who really needs to take potassium iodide (KI) after a nuclear radiation release?
The need for potassium iodide is based on age, which primarily determines risk for radio iodine induced thyroid cancer. Those at highest risk are infants and children, as well as pregnant and nursing females, and the recommendation is to treat them at the lowest threshold (with respect to predicted radioactive dose to the thyroid).Anyone over age 18 and up to age 40 should be treated at a slightly higher threshold. Finally, anyone over 40 should be treated with KI only if the predicted exposure is high enough to destroy the thyroid and induce lifelong hypothyroidism(thyroid deficiency).

What potassium iodide (KI) products are currently available?
In the U.S., Iosat, ThyroSafe, and ThyroShield are FDA-approved KI products. Please be aware that only the KI products approved by FDA may be legally marketed in the United States. [In Canada, the only product currently licensed by Health Canada is RadBlock (KI 65 mg tablets).

What dosages of potassium iodide (KI) should be taken for specific exposure levels?
  • Exposures greater than 5 cGy:
    • Birth through 1 mo. - 16 mg
    • 1 mo. through 3 yrs. - 32 mg
    • 3 yrs. through 18 yrs. - 65 mg (adolescents more than 150 pounds should take adult dose.)
  • Exposures greater than 10 cGy:
    • 18 yrs. through 40 yrs. - 130 mg
  • Exposures greater than 500 cGy:
    • Adults over 40 yrs. - 130 mg
How long should potassium iodide (KI) be taken?
Since KI protects for approximately 24 hours, it should be dosed daily until the risk no longer exists. Priority with regard to evacuation and sheltering should be given to pregnant females and neonates because of the potential for KI to suppress thyroid function in the fetus and neonate. Unless other protective measures are not available, we do not recommend repeat dosing in pregnant females and neonates.

Who should not take potassium iodide (KI) or have restricted use?
Persons with known iodine sensitivity should avoid KI, as should individuals with dermatitis herpetiformis and hypocomplementemic vasculitis, extremely rare conditions associated with an increased risk of iodine hypersensitivity. Individuals with multinodular goiter, Graves' disease, and autoimmune thyroiditis should betreated with caution -- especially if dosing extends beyond a few days.

What are the possible risks and side effects of taking potassium iodide (KI)?
Thyroidal side effects of KI at recommended doses rarely occur in iodine-sufficient populations such as the U.S. As a rule, the risk of thyroidal side effects is related to dose and to the presence of underlying thyroid disease (e.g., goiter, thyroiditis, Graves'). FDA recommends adherence to the Guidance on Potassium Iodide asa Thyroid Blocking Agent in Radiation Emergencies http://www.fda.gov/downloads/Drugs/GuidanceComplianceRegulatoryInformation/Guidances/UCM080542.pdf) for intervention threshold and dose, though we recognize that the exigencies of any particular emergency situation may mandate deviations from those recommendations. With that in mind, it should be understood that as a general rule, the risks of KI are far outweighed by the benefits with regard to prevention of thyroid cancer in susceptible individuals.

Should I be recommending potassium iodide(KI) for my patients who request it?
As with any drug, you should understand the risks and benefits of KI before recommending it or prescribing it to patients. We recommend that physicians read our guidance for more information (see above). The FDA guidance discusses the rationale and methods of safe and effective use of KI in radiation emergencies (http://www.fda.gov/downloads/Drugs/GuidanceComplianceRegulatoryInformation/Guidances/UCM080542.pdf). It specifically addresses threshold predicted thyroid radioiodine exposure for intervention and dosing by age group. The recommendations for intervention are based oncategories of risk for thyroid cancer, with the young prioritized because of increased sensitivity to the carcinogenic effects of radioiodine.

The above excerpts are reprinted from the FDA Q&A concerning the use of potassium iodide.

Action Items for Radiation Plume Reaching California, Oregon, Washington

The New York Times report that a radiation plume will reach California by Friday has a lot of people asking us for more information about what to do. (See http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/17/science/17plume.html?_r=1)

Fortunately, the amount of radiation that would actually fall on California (or Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Alaska, etc.) is currently very small. Too small to pose a serious health risk for right now.

The time to get really concerned is if -- and only if -- the Fukushima reactors suffer a fuel rod "meltdown" event which would release a massive amount of radiation into the atmosphere. The United Nations has calculated that such an event would send a cloud of very powerful radiation headed eastward, arriving on the shores of the United States and Canada within 2-3 days after the meltdown, depending on wind patterns.

Importantly, this will give you some time to take action should such an event occur. The next 24 - 48 hours are crucial in Japan's effort to stop the nuclear fuel rod meltdown. It is entirely unknown whether Japan can succeed in stopping it. The situation remains dire.
If you live in the western states or provinces of North America, it is extremely important to be prepared by taking the following actions RIGHT NOW:

1) Fuel up your vehicle(s) and be ready to hit the road for a possible evacuation (or hunker down if you're out in the country and feel like you would be safer there).

2) If you plan to stay put, go to the hardware store TODAY and buy large amounts of plastic and duct tape to seal up your windows and doors. This will help protect you from radioactive fallout. You will also need to store water, food, and all the usual emergency supplies because outside help probably won't be available.

3) If you plan to evacuate, have a "Go Bag" ready to go at a moment's notice. This go bag should include a water filter, emergency radio, flashlight, duct tape, emergency knife, spare cash, whatever medical supplies you might need, extra food and water, spare fuel cans and so on. Have it ready now in case you need it.

4) Significantly increase your intake of iodine-containing foods and superfoods starting right now: Seaweeds are a great source. We've listed our entire inventory of what we have available at our store (http://www.naturalnews.com/031730_iodine_radiation_poisoning.html), but I would actually prefer you to go out and get this locally TODAY at your local health food stores, where possible. You may not have time to wait on a UPS delivery. Fortunately, our store ships from Ojai, California, meaning that if you order foods from us today that are in stock, and you're in California, you could receive them very, very quickly (within 1-2 business days).

5) If you have potassium iodide pills (radiation pills), don't take them yet. Keep them ready to take if and only if a meltdown event occurs and a massive dose of radiation has been released into the atmosphere.

6) Have a plan for you and your family. Where will you meet if you need to evacuate? Don't count on cell phones working. Have a plan of where to go, how to get there and how to survive once you get there.

Hopefully none of this will be necessary. If they can stop the meltdown at Fukushima, there is virtually no real radiation risk in North America. That's the outcome we're all hoping and praying for.

But if a meltdown takes place, it is almost certain that strong winds will push a massive radiation cloud right into North America within a matter of days, potentially dropping a highly dangerous amount of radioactive material on California or other regions. That's the scenario that we all need to be prepared to guard against.

Do not rely on your government to tell you the truth about what's happening. Governments are in the business of "preventing panic" by withholding information you need to know. Governments believe that if too many people know the truth, it might start a panic, and even more people could die in the panic than from the event itself. They may actually be correct at some level on that, but I believe that people have a right to know what's really going on. And the sober, shocking truth of the matter is that as of right now, our world is facing an unprecedented nuclear meltdown event that could dwarf the Chernobyl catastrophe of 1987. We're talking about as many as 600,000 spent fuel rods which are now threatened by fires and loss of cooling fluids. This is not a set of circumstances to be taken lightly.

I urge all Natural News readers to take this seriously. Get prepared now. Get your go bag ready just in case. Start boosting your natural iodine intake TODAY. Be ready to head out of Dodge if you're in a geographic area that could be impacted. And then watch the news on this to stay informed.

Another thing: If a meltdown does occur and an evacuation is announced for parts of the west coast of North America, you will need to be one of the first to head out if you expect to get out at all. The highways around Los Angeles in particular do not have the capacity to handle a mass evacuation. They barely have the capacity to handle rush hour! Imagine what happens if half the people in L.A. try to leave all at the same time... that will be a week-long traffic jam, and people will run out of gas on the highways, abandon their vehicles, and make the highways impassable.

The United Nations has now confirmed that a radioactive plume will reach California by Friday

The United Nations has now confirmed that a radioactive plume will reach California by Friday (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/17/science/17plume.html?_r=1).

Fortunately, this is calculated to be a very small level of radiation that officially poses no real health risk -- but that won't be true if Fukushima goes into a fuel rod meltdown (which could happen in the next 2 days).

Because of all this, there has been a run on nearly all iodine sources across North America, Australia and Asia. Price-gouging is now rampant. Some people are getting really scared.

However we can still get iodine from lots of natural sources such as seaweeds. And for minor exposures to radiation, there are cleansing superfoods such as chlorella and spirulina that have been used as far back as World War II to help clear radiation exposure and quickly flush radioactive substances from the body. Iodine Protects Thyroid and Glandular System from Radiation Damage

In the aftermath of Japan's nuclear catastrophe and the fear that winds could blow radiation into the west coast of North America, there has been a sudden rush on potassium iodide, which helps protect your glandular system from radiation poisoning if you're exposed. The Japanese government is handing out this supplement in huge quantities to the survivors north of Tokyo, and here at NaturalNews, we've received a flurry of requests from people wanting to know where they can find available supplies of potassium iodide.

These "radiation pills" are being sold out everywhere. NukePills.com says they were completely sold out over the weekend. Pharmacies in California are receiving a stampede of phone calls from near-panicked residents there, reports Fox News.

Why you need to boost your iodine levels to protect against radiation

The important thing is to get iodine into your body in a safe supplement form. This does not have to be "potassium iodide." It can also be in the form of Nascent Iodine, which is a high-quality iodine supplement that has been available in the natural product marketplace for several years. (Do NOT drink topical antiseptic iodine products such as Betadine -- these products are not suitable for human consumption. They are povidone-iodine mixtures.)

Dr. Brownstein is one of the top experts on iodine. About radiation exposure, he explains: "If there is enough inorganic, non-radioactive iodine in our bodies, the radioactive fallout has nowhere to bind in our bodies. It will pass through us, leaving our bodies unharmed. It is important to ensure that we have adequate iodine levels BEFORE this fallout hits." (Source link below, from the IMVA website.)

What Dr. Brownstein is explaining is that you must get iodine in your body BEFORE being exposed to radiation. And most people are extremely deficient in iodine on a daily basis (http://www.naturalnews.com/023107_i...).

Dr. Mark Sircus is also an excellent source of information about iodine, magnesium and other minerals. Over at the IMVA website, he has a book on iodine that is highly recommend: http://iodine.imva.info/

Japan halts vaccines from Pfizer, Sanofi after deaths of four children

The deaths just keep mounting all across the world: Children are collapsing into comas and then dying, just minutes after receiving combination vaccines that have been deceptively marketed as "completely safe." Last year, Australia temporarily banned flu vaccines in children after they were found to have caused vomiting, fevers and seizures (http://www.naturalnews.com/029586_A...).

Today the damage from vaccines is emerging in Japan, where the health ministry has suspended the use of vaccines from Pfizer and Sanofi-Aventis following the deaths of four children there who died within minutes after receiving these vaccine shots.

All four children received combination vaccines, where multiple shots are combined into one high-potency injection. MMR is another example of a combination vaccine shot that combines vaccines for measles, mumps and rubella. There is very strong evidence that vaccines are far more dangerous when given in combination than when given one at a time (http://naturalnews.tv/v.asp?v=60825...). Vitamin D Mega-Doses of Vitamin D Help Prevent Breast Cancer and Other Diseases

Current government recommendations of 400 or 600 international units (IU) of vitamin D a day are insufficient to prevent serious diseases like breast cancer, a new study published in the journal Anticancer Research has found. Researchers from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine and Creighton University (CU) School of Medicine discovered that when much higher doses of vitamin D are taken daily, the risks associated with developing several major diseases are reduced by about half.

"We found that daily intakes of vitamin D by adults in the range of 4000-8000 IU are needed to maintain blood levels of vitamin D metabolites in the range needed to reduce by about half the risk of several diseases -- breast cancer, colon cancer, multiple sclerosis, and type 1 diabetes," said Cedric Garland, DrPH, professor of family and preventive medicine at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center.

"I was surprised to find that the intakes required to maintain vitamin D status for disease prevention were so high -- much higher than the minimal intake of vitamin D of 400 IU/day that was needed to defeat rickets in the 20th century."

A review of several thousand volunteers taking between 1,000 and 10,000 IU/day of vitamin D revealed that much higher daily intakes of vitamin D are required to achieve blood serum levels of vitamin D in the healthy range of 40 to 60 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL), or higher. And those who daily take such mega-doses of vitamin D in order to maintain these levels are much less likely to develop serious disease.

"Now that the results of this study are in, it will become common for almost every adult to take 4,000 IU/day," said Garland. "This is comfortably under the 10,000 IU/day that the Institute of Medicine (IOM) Committee Report considers as the lower limit of risk, and the benefits are substantial. Now is the time for virtually everyone to take more vitamin D to help prevent some major types of cancer, several other serious illnesses, and fractures."

Serena Williams and Pulmonary Embolism—Who's at Risk?

Serena Williams is recuperating at home under medical supervision from a health scare she described as “extremely hard, scary and disappointing” in a statement issued March 2. The tennis ace and 13-time Grand Slam champion underwent emergency treatment for a hematoma brought on by a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lungs). Here’s a guide to this dangerous and surprisingly common condition.

What causes pulmonary embolism and how serious is it? Pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood clot lodges in the lungs, a potentially life-threatening situation. Typically the clot forms in blood vessels in the leg, pelvis, arms or heart. If the clot comes from the arms or legs, it’s described as deep venous thrombosis. The clot then floats through the bloodstream to the lungs, passing through vessels until it gets stuck in one of them, obstructing blood flow like a clogged pipe. According to the Centers for Disease Control, up to 200,000 Americans suffer pulmonary embolism (PE) each year, and nearly one-third of them die.
Learn more about pulmonary embolism.

Who is at risk? PE can strike at any age, but certain factors magnify the threat, including travel. Sitting for prolonged periods in a car or airplane slows blood flow in the legs, upping risk for clot formation. This may have been a culprit in Williams’ case since she reportedly developed the pulmonary embolism soon after a flight from New York to Los Angeles. Other risk factors include immobilization after a broken bone, stroke or other illnesses that leaves the person confined to bed, obesity, heart disease, cancer, smoking and injury or trauma to the legs. Recent surgery is another risk factor, which played a role in my own pulmonary embolism, and may been an issue for Williams, who had recently undergone treatment for a foot injury.  PE is more likely during pregnancy or in women who take birth control pills or use estrogen therapy for menopausal symptoms, particularly if they smoke or are overweight.

What symptoms does pulmonary embolism cause? Warning signs vary but among the more common are chest pain (particularly if it starts suddenly and intensifies during a deep breath), coughing up blood, unexplained shortness of breath, dizziness or fainting, and anxiety or a sense of dread. These symptoms warrant an immediate call to 911 or trip to the hospital since PE is a potentially life-threatening emergency.
Check out this 3D video on how blood clots occur.

What’s the treatment? People with PE typically receive oxygen, often through tubing inserted into the nostrils or a mask. In severe cases, a ventilator may be required. Blood-thinning medications, such as heparin, are often  administered by IV. For patients who are critically ill or have large clots, doctors may turn to clot-buster drugs (thrombolytics) or perform surgical procedures, such as removing the clot via a thin tube snaked through the blood vessels to the lungs. If someone suffers PE more than once, as occurred in my case, doctors may advise blood tests to check for clotting disorders.

What can I do to prevent PE? On long flights, get up and walk around the cabin every hour. Also avoid crossing your legs for extended periods. During car trips, stop and stretch your legs at least every two hours with a short walk to help prevent clot formation. Before surgery, discuss blood clot prevention steps with your doctor. Depending on your risk, you may be treated with blood thinners before or after the operation. You may also be asked to wear compression stockings or be treated in the hospital with air-inflated cuffs that automatically massage your legs every few minutes, helping push blood through the vessels. For most people, one of the best ways to prevent clots after an operation is to resume physical activity, such as walking, as soon as possible after surgery.

Why You Need 8 Gglasses of Water A Day

                                                    1) 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
(Likely applies to half the world population)

2) In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak
that it is mistaken for hunger.

3) Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as 3%.

4) One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs
for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of
Washington study.

5) Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

6) Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of
water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain
for up to 80% of sufferers.
7) A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term
memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on
the computer screen or on a printed page.

8) Drinking 8 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of
colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast
cancer by 79%., and one is 50% less likely to develop
bladder cancer.
Are you drinking the amount of water you should drink every day?

Oral Sex Now Main Cause of Oral Cancer: Who Faces Biggest Risk?

What's the leading cause of oral cancer? Smoking? Heavy drinking?

Actually, it's oral sex.

Scientists say that 64 percent of cancers of the oral cavity, head, and neck in the U.S. are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV), which is commonly spread via oral sex, NPR reported. The more oral sex you have - and the more oral sex partners you have - the greater the risk of developing these potentially deadly cancers.
"An individual who has six or more lifetime partners - on whom they've performed oral sex - has an eightfold increase in risk compared to someone who has never performed oral sex, Ohio University's Dr. Maura Gillison, said at a recent scientific meeting, according to NPR.

It's news that might alarm some parents, who worry about adolescents' appetite for oral sex.
"Today's teens consider oral sex to be casual, socially acceptable, inconsequential, and significantly less risky to their health than 'real' sex," Dr. Gillison and colleagues said in a written statement released in conjunction with the meeting.

Teens simply think oral sex is "not that a big a deal," Dr. Bonnie Halpern-Felsher, professor of pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, told NPR. "Parents and health educators are not talking to teens about oral sex. Period."

But simply needling teens about the risks posed by oral sex and HPV - the same virus that causes cervical cancer - is no substitute for literally giving them the needle.

"When my patients ask whether they should vaccinate their sons, I say 'certainly," Gillison said, the Telegraph reported. "The vaccine will protect them against genital warts and anal cancer and also as a potential byproduct of that it may protect them against oral cancer caused by HPV."

This year, 37,000 Americans will be diagnosed with oral or pharyngeal cancer this year, according to the Oral Cancer Foundation. Eight thousand will die from the cancers.

FINALLY GOOD NEWS FOR ALL DIABETICS?

A woman (65) was diabetic for the last 20+ years and was taking insulin twice a day, she used the enclosed homemade medicine for a fortnight and now
she is absolutely free of diabetes and taking all her food as normal including sweets.

DR. TONY ALMEIDA ( Bombay Kidney Speciality expert ) made the extensive
experiments with perseverance and patience and discovered a successful treatment for diabetes.
Now a days a lot of people, old men & women in particular suffer a lot due to Diabetes.

Ingredients:
1 - Wheat flour 100 gm
2 - Gum(of tree) (gondh) 100 gm
3 - Barley 100 gm
4 - Black Seeds (kalunji) 100 gm

Method of Preparation Put all the above ingredients in 5 cups of water.
Boil it for 10 minutes and put off the fire. Allow it to cool down by itself.
When it has become cold, filter out the seeds and preserve the water in a glass jug or bottle.

How to use it?
Take one small cup of this water every day early morning when your stomach is empty.
Continue this for 7 days. Next week repeat the same but on alternate days. With these 2 weeks of treatment you will wonder to see that you have become normal and can eat normal food without problem.
Note: A request is to spread this to as many as possible so that others can also take benefit out of it.

SINCE THESE ARE ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS, TAKING THEM IS NOT HARMFUL. SO THOSE WHO ARE SCEPTICAL ABOUT THIS TREATMENT MAY STILL TRY IT WITHOUT ANY HARM. WORST CASE SCENARIO WILL BE THAT YOU REMAIN STILL THE SAME AS YOU WERE BEFORE.

What You Need to Know About Statin Drugs Side Effects

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE ANIMATION VIDEO.

This is the latest animation from the Health Ranger, revealing the health dangers of statin drugs. According to a study published in the British Medical Journal, statin drugs cause liver dysfunction, acute kidney failure. cataracts and extreme muscle weakness (among other side effects).

This video encourages people to think twice about taking statin drugs. Statin drugs also deplete CoQ10, a vital nutrient for heart health and cellular energy. That's why people feel so weak when taking statins.

Cholesterol is not a "disease," and statin drugs are synthetic chemicals that are not bio-compatible with the human body.

Fourteen Really Good Sex Questions

This article is part of Oprah.com's 2011 Feel Good Challenge.

Can you learn to be passionate about someone if there's no chemistry at first?
If a couple like each other, have fun together, and basically have a good relationship, they shouldn't call it quits if everything is there but the sex. Chemistry can grow if you give yourself permission to learn about yourself as a sexual human being and to communicate your desires. That's probably better than falling for someone in a mad, passionate heat. Because when you realize you don't actually like each other, sex is the first thing to go. And then you have nothing.

Can you have a great, long-lasting sex life with the same partner?
Absolutely—but you're not going to be having movie-style sex. Movie sex is romantic and passionate: You idealize your partner, you're turned on even before you begin, and you make love every time you're together. In an ongoing relationship, sex is more about intimacy and security, and it's integrated with who you really are. It also doesn't happen as often.

Couples who keep their sex lives going develop a style early on—who initiates, how much foreplay is included, do they like taking turns, do they or don't they appreciate quickies. They also consciously make time for sex. The idea that the best sex is spontaneous is a myth. Most long-term couples plan their sexual experiences; it's like going to a show—part of the pleasure is looking forward to it. Sexually satisfied couples also know that sometimes the "show" will be great, and other times it'll be mediocre or worse. You have to be realistic and not panic, thinking this means you're falling out of love or failing as a lover. Healthy, mutually pleasuring sex really helps strengthen the bond between couples. The more you avoid having sex, and the more self-conscious you become about it, the harder it is to get back on track.

"Asparagus for Cancer" - Article by a Biochemist

My Mom had been taking the full-stalk canned style asparagus that she pureed and she took 4 tablespoons in  the morning and 4 tablespoons later in the day. She did  this for over a month. She is on chemo pills for Stage 3  lung cancer in the pleural area and her cancer cell count went from 386 down to 125 as of this past week. Her oncologist said she does not need to see him for 3  months.

THE ARTICLE:
Several years ago, I had a man seeking asparagus for a  friend who had cancer. He gave me a photocopied copy  of an article, entitled, Asparagus for cancer 'printed in  Cancer News Journal, December 1979. I will share it  here, just as it was shared with me: I am a  biochemist, and have specialized in the relation of diet to health or over 50 years. Several years ago, I learned  of the discovery of Richard R. Vensal, D.D.S. that  asparagus might cure cancer. Since then, I have worked  with him on his project We have accumulated a number of favorable case histories. Here are a few examples:

Case No. 1: A man with an almost hopeless case of Hodgkin's disease (cancer of the lymph glands) who was completely incapacitated. Within 1 year of starting the asparagus therapy, his doctors were unable to detect any signs of cancer, and he was back on a schedule of strenuous exercise.

Case No. 2: A successful businessman 68 years old who suffered from cancer of the bladder for 16 years. After years of medical treatments, including radiation without improvement, he went on asparagus. Within 3 months, examinations revealed that his bladder tumor had disappeared and that his kidneys were normal.

Case No. 3: A man who had lung cancer. On March 5th 1971, he  was put on the operating table where they found lung cancer so widely spread that it was inoperable. The surgeon sewed him up and declared his case hopeless. On April 5th he heard about the Asparagus therapy and immediately started taking it.  By August, x-ray pictures revealed that all signs of the cancer had disappeared.. He is back at his regular business routine.

Case No. 4: A woman who was troubled for a number of years with skin cancer. She finally developed different skin cancers which were diagnosed by the acting specialist as advanced. Within 3 months after starting on asparagus, her skin specialist said that her skin looked fine and no more skin lesions. This woman reported that the asparagus therapy also cured her kidney disease, which started in 1949. She had over 10  operations for kidney stones, and was receiving government disability payments for an inoperable, terminal, kidney condition. She attributes the cure of this kidney trouble entirely to the asparagus.

I was not surprised at this result, as `The elements of materia medica', edited in1854 by a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania , stated that asparagus was used as a popular remedy for kidney stones. He even referred to experiments, in 1739, on the power of asparagus in dissolving stones. Note the dates! We would have other case histories but the medical establishment has interfered with our obtaining some of the records. I am therefore appealing to readers to spread this good news and help us to gather a large number of case histories that will overwhelm the medical skeptics about this unbelievably simple and natural remedy.

For the treatment, asparagus should be cooked before using, and therefore canned asparagus is just as good as fresh. I have corresponded with the two leading canners of asparagus, Giant and Stokely, and I am satisfied that these brands contain no pesticides or preservatives.  Place the cooked asparagus in a blender and liquefy to make a puree, and store in the refrigerator. Give the patient 4 full tablespoons twice daily, morning and evening. Patients usually show some improvement in 2-4 weeks. It can be diluted with water and used as a cold or hot drink. This suggested dosage is based on present experience, but certainly larger amounts can do no harm and may be needed in some cases. As a biochemist I am convinced of the old saying that `what cures can prevent.' Based on this theory, my wife and I have been using asparagus puree as a beverage with our meals. We take 2 tablespoons diluted in water to suit our taste with breakfast and with dinner. I take mine hot and my wife prefers hers cold. For years we have made it a practice to have blood surveys taken as part of our regular checkups. The last blood survey, taken by a medical doctor who specializes in the nutritional approach to health, showed substantial improvements in all categories over the last one, and we can attribute these improvements to nothing but  the asparagus drink.

As a biochemist, I have made an extensive study of all aspects of cancer, and all of the proposed cures. As a result, I am convinced that asparagus fits in better with the latest theories about cancer.

Asparagus contains a good supply of protein called histones, which are believed to be active in controlling cell growth. For that reason, I believe asparagus can be said to contain a substance that I call cell growth normalizer. That accounts for its action on cancer and in acting as a general body tonic. In any event, regardless of theory, asparagus used as we suggest, is a harmless substance. The FDA cannot prevent you from using it and it may do you much good. It has been reported by the US National Cancer Institute, that asparagus is the highest tested food containing glutathione, which is considered one of the body's most potent anticarcinogens and antioxidants.
